What and who is RPT Percussion Ensemble?  

 RPT Percussion Ensemble, affectionately known as "RPT," is an incredibly dynamic and competitive percussion group that calls the beautiful region of Lake County, Florida, its home. The ensemble proudly formed in 2008 as part of the renowned Teal Sound Drum & Bugle Corps and commenced its competitive journey in 2009. Our mission is genuinely centered around the education of our talented and passionate members, guiding and nurturing them to grow both musically and personally throughout their enriching experience with us. We warmly welcome members from a variety of communities throughout Central Florida, creating a diverse and vibrant team atmosphere where everyone feels valued and inspired. As a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization operating under the umbrella of Paradigm Performance Ensemble, Inc., we are deeply committed to our mission and the values it embodies. RPT actively participates in a wide array of exciting events, including prestigious competitions at Winter Guard International (WGI) as well as those held by the Florida Federation of Colorguards (FFCC), along with exhilarating DCI Drum Line Battle performances. Among our most notable achievements, we proudly hold the esteemed titles of FFCC Independent Class A Gold Medalists for the years of 2014, 2015, and 2023; we also celebrated victory as WGI Orlando Regional PIA Gold Medalists in 2024. Additionally, we have earned numerous medals and accolades in both regional and world championships from 2009 to 2024, showcasing our unwavering dedication and hard work, including being recognized as WGI World Championships PIA Finalists in 2015 to 2019 , WGI World Championship PIA Semi Finalists in 2018 and WGI World Championships PIA Virtual Champions in 2023.

When was RPT formed?  

 RPT Percussion Ensemble originally started in September 2008 under the name RIPTIDE Independent Percussion Ensemble as a proud part of Teal Inc. After several successful years, in 2012, the ensemble achieved independence and underwent a name change to RPT Percussion, with the aim of competing in the PIA Class beginning in 2013. Fast forward to 2024, and the ensemble's hard work and dedication were rewarded with a promotion to the distinguished OPEN (PIO) class by WGI, marking a significant milestone in its journey.

Although we are a competitive ensemble, we also have done convention performances in and around Orlando as well as appearances in local town events,such as the Inverness Rocks, St Patrick's Day Parades, Marching Band Competitions. We have been hired to open Conventions such as Genband, NuCore .
